Back to basics

I’m back y’all! …and in English! After staying away from blogging for a year, I have decided to get back into it. A lot has changed in my life. A lot of good things, some less so good. I’ve met tons of new people and experiences tons of new things.

Initially I started this blog in Estonian to document my transition from a small Eastern European (go ahead, scoff, Estonians!) to the U.S. I took a break from blogging in 2010 when I felt like I had taken in most of the new things America had to offer to me.

However, lately I find myself thinking about how wonderful it would have been to have a documentation about what went on during the last year or so. So, I’ve decided to start blogging again. This time in English, because my life is in the U.S. now.

This is not going to be some fancy analysis of current world events. Neither is it going to talk about deep, complex, philosophical issues. This is going to be my reflection of the world around me. I will say in advance, there will be tons of ‘dear diary’ moments in it, so all y’all with hearts of stone, you might want to  x out of this page right about now. For the rest, however, I hope you find something you can identify with here. If not, well… I couldn’t care less. I’m doing this for myself in the long run. Although those of you, who know me… this ain’t gonna be pretty. I don’t practice PC nor do I like to glorify things. I’m a bitter Eastern European and I say it with pride. So buckle up, y’all! I’m back in business!
